Exclusive Poll: How KISD Taxpayers Voted on the District Split—Verified Results

Public decisions of great consequence deserve to be guided by clear, trustworthy data. The conversation surrounding the potential Keller ISD split has been filled with speculation, strong opinions, and a need for clarity. That’s why I undertook this effort—to go beyond anecdotal debates and provide a verifiable, data-driven look at what Keller ISD taxpayers actually think.

The results in this report are not based on casual online polling or self-selected social media engagement. Every participant was verified not only by double opt-in email but also by physical address, mailing address, and homestead exemption records—meaning that each response was tied to a real, confirmed Keller ISD taxpayer. The methodology was structured to ensure that the data reflects the voices of actual stakeholders, not outside influences.

Understanding that public polling can have inherent limitations, I enlisted two Ph.D.-level statisticians—experts in decision sciences and quantitative research—to independently analyze the results. Their findings confirm that, even when accounting for potential biases, the overwhelming majority of Keller ISD taxpayers oppose the split. Weighted statistical adjustments were applied to ensure that the sample aligned with the district’s actual population distribution. Even under the most skeptical scrutiny, the opposition remains undeniable.

It is often said that in a representative system, leaders are not bound to follow public sentiment—but they are bound to listen. While the Keller ISD board has the authority to make decisions independently of popular vote, the data in this report presents a compelling case that the people they serve have spoken. The question now is whether those voices will be heard.

How to Interpret the Following Data

This report presents the results in three distinct formats, ensuring full transparency and multiple layers of verification.

1. Statistical Analysis by Dr. Christopher Gaffney
Dr. Gaffney, an Associate Clinical Professor of Decision Sciences, conducted an independent statistical review of the survey data. His analysis applies rigorous statistical weighting and hypothesis testing to assess the validity and representativeness of the sample.

2. Statistical Analysis by Dr. Karla Hamlen Mansour
Dr. Mansour, a professor at Cleveland State University specializing in data analytics and program evaluation, conducted a separate analysis. Her report includes confidence intervals, logistic regression, and additional statistical methods to determine key predictors of voting behavior.

3. Raw Survey Data

The raw results from the survey intake form are included for complete transparency. This section allows readers to see the unprocessed numbers and confirm that the findings are grounded in actual responses. (below)

Each of these perspectives contributes to a comprehensive understanding of how Keller ISD taxpayers feel about the proposed split. The results remain consistent across all analyses, with clear and overwhelming opposition to the split.
